Today is the Most Boring Sports Day of the Year.  Atomic Sports Media senior writer Nicholas Jon Wood dreads it, this annual Wednesday after Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game, like no other.  But in attempting to be constructive, put a positive spin on things, it got him thinking . . . why is there just that one day where emptiness surrounds and the sounds of silence are deafening?  Why not more?  Why now?  Is the universe not as random and chaotic as it appears?  Is there—could there—be one overarching figure controlling all of us fans?  One sole scheduler for all things sport?  If so, who?
