FAQ's:

Q. What kind of stories can I write?

A. We’re looking for smart writers who can offer a different take on some widely reported stories or write entertaining accounts of some lesser-known events in the world of sports. We love articles that demonstrate an author’s humor, personality and knowledge. While we have a variety of great stories we need written right now, we also love to hear about story ideas from you. Writers are encouraged to pitch their own ideas to our editors and write about whatever it is they want to write… as long as it’s about sports.

“Atomic Sports Media.com allows aspiring sportswriters like myself the freedom to write about any topic they want,” said Josh Binstock, a frequent contributor to Atomic Sports Media.com. “By doing my own editing and research on a variety of sports topics, I have seen my writing improve with each article.”

In addition to our usual array of feature stories, Atomic Sports Media.com also has opportunities for bloggers and columnists to write about virtually every sport from football to hockey to cricket. If you want to write about it, we want to read it.

While we can’t guarantee everything you write will be published, our editors are here to work with you and help you sharpen your skills as a sports writer. From there, the sky is the limit!

Q. Will I get paid for my work?

A. While Atomic Sports Media.com does not pay writers directly for their articles, there are several ways writer can potentially earn income for their work.

First, our articles are seen by hundreds of publishers across the country and, if one of your stories is picked up by another publication, you’ll earn a paycheck for your work. Secondly, Atomic Sports Media.com regularly runs contest for its writers, rewarding the best work with prizes, the better your writing, the better your chances of winning.

Finally, and most importantly, Atomic Sports Media.com provides you with the publication and publicity you’ll need to land the internship or job you’ve been looking for without the stress and effort of freelancing or sending out resumes. And no matter how great your credentials may be, what employers really want to see is clips – your skills in action – and Atomic Sports Media.com is the perfect way to flaunt your talents to thousands of readers around the country.

“I had been looking for something to add to my resume for awhile,” said Sara Normand, a sophomore at Ohio University who has contributed more than a dozen great articles to the site. “At first I was somewhat skeptical that this website wasn't the real deal.  However, this has been one of the best opportunities to get my name out there.”

Q. What kind of feedback will I get on my articles?

A. Atomic Sports Media.com’ editors are always available to answer questions about stories or offer feedback on your work. You’ll also have access to dozens of other college-age writers that are willing to offer tips, advice and experience. And finally, you’ll have hundreds of readers enjoying your articles every day.
